Vanilla-Inspired Teleporters by DanYeomans, bronsonf1, and Csb987
Vanilla-Inspired Teleporters adds teleporter blocks that fit seamlessly into the Vanilla Minecraft playing experience. Only two new blocks are created, which are the teleporters themselves. Stand on a teleporter, and teleport with ease!
Adds data to world file... We're not responsible if something goes wrong!
Textures are from minecraft's assets... Supported by all texture packs!
About
Teleporters exist on circular networks; each teleporter links to the next teleporter on the network, and the last teleporter links to the first one. Players define networks by inserting a key into the teleporter by right clicking it, which can be a block, an item, or no key at all. Teleporter networks are defined by their key - teleporters may only teleport to other teleporters with the same key.
Ender Teleporters behave exactly the same as their regular counterparts. Unlike regular teleporters, however, ender teleporters can also teleport between dimensions, whereas regular teleporters cannot.
Players can also block or lock teleporters. Blocking is achieved by placing a non-passable block either one or two spaces above the teleporter. When a teleporter is blocked, no player can enter or exit, and other teleporters on the network will skip the blocked teleporter. Locking is achieved by supplying redstone power to the teleporter. When a teleporter is locked, players may enter through the teleporter but not exit, and other teleporters on the network will skip the locked teleporter.

Teleporter Menu
The teleporter menu is accessed via. right-clicking (like a chest or furnace). When you open the menu, you are presented with a key slot. Any item placed inside the key slot will act as the key for the teleporter, allowing it to only teleport to other teleporters with the same key.
Unique Items
Unique items (such as maps and books) can be used to make very specific teleporter networks. The teleporter matches the author name and title of the book when checking for a suitable destination. As for maps, only maps and their copies can teleport between each other. This way you can have good control over who has access!

Really cool mod. Love how simple it is. All the old telelport mods I tried were always really complicated and trying too hard to fit into a sci-fi themed package.
One of the best mods I've seen . I think those diamonds become so expensive for only 1 teleporter, is already quite frustrating to travel to the Nether for some quartz. 4 blocks of quartz would be a better recipe, in my humble opinion.

Hi ReMMiXx14, thanks for your support! I added the diamonds for balancing reasons... the issue I saw was that the teleporter is a very powerful tool in minecraft that can make the game a lot easier.. Being able to transport between different bases, caves, and even having an easy way out of a dangerous situation if you carry one on you, so I decided that the crafting recipe for the teleporter should be harder to obtain. It also makes crafting my first teleporter a nice reward
In the next update I'll be adding some options to a configuration file, and I'll include the option to use diamonds or quartz blocks in the teleporter recipe, as well as the option to adjust the number of teleporters you recieve from a single recipe
Hi ebennett, Forge pretty much guarantees against obscure compatibility issues with other mods, and provides a lot of useful features for event handling. I would not be able to detect if the player is standing on the teleporter without it, but forge allows me to add extra variables to players and detect if the player is standing on my teleporter with ease.
Not currently. Forge changed a lot of it's code from 1.7.10 to 1.8, and my teleporter mod depends on some of it. If there is enough demand for it I'll certainly try my hand at the conversion!
Awesome! Glad I could help! I had a great time playing around with the mod and will definitely be keeping it for my 1.8 Forge world that will be in some future videos!
I've added this mod, and it's pretty awesome, but some of the players on my server are lagging out after teleporting and falling into the void. Any ideas why?
After coming back from The End, the teleporter wigs out and teleports the person back and forth rapidly.
Also shift-clicking a stack of items puts it into the key slot, but drops the number of items off. So the players looses everything in the item stack except the last item.
Needless to say, I only found these bugs because I use the mod a lot. It's so great~!
Also: Tinted Teleporters made from different colored glass might be cool, too.

Unfortunately, this is an issue with Minecraft.. Not the mod. When a player teleports, Minecraft has to update the world around them, and sometimes this takes a bit of time. If they're on a server with any lag it'll only be worse.

Is there a 1.7.10 version?
Any chance of a 1.7.10 version my brother and I are working on a modpack and I would love to include this mod.
Hi! It would be cool if you could check out my youtube channel! https://www.youtube.com/user/machinespray

This mod is great! Easy enough to craft and very easy to use! I made a mod showcase video featuring this mod - I hope you enjoy!
Thank you very much TewGen! This is the english mod showcase I've been waiting for you're number 1 in the videos section now

I have to say, I'm really loving this mod! I like the fact that you kept it vanilla-flavored and put some thought into the recipe.
I just want to say I love, love this mod!
But I found a coupla bugs:
After coming back from The End, the teleporter wigs out and teleports the person back and forth rapidly.
Also shift-clicking a stack of items puts it into the key slot, but drops the number of items off. So the players looses everything in the item stack except the last item.

Ditto.
you could always share the source.

Regarding the end issue: what item was in your teleporter before you entered the end?
As for the stack issue, I'll be sure to track that bug for the next patch.
Can i use this in my modpack Void?
