Yeah pretty much, and the folder wont re-download itself, what do I do?
It won't re-download itself? So when you delete that entire folder (just trash www.minecraft.net) and you attempt to play classic only some files are downloaded or what? It sounds like a permissions issue of some sort.

None of the files get re-downloaded, and yes I am logged in to the site when I do it
Unfortunately now when I try to play classic mode from the site, it gets stuck at "done loading"
(And no, deleting my bin folder is not the answer, I'm talking about classic mode not survival mode)

It turns out you just have to play "singleplayer classic" insead of "in browser beta" and it re-downloads them
