im having a bit of trouble. when ever i put in ur mod i first get a message saying ID's are mismatched and then when i go into game to check the items all i get are wooden and gold blocks for the icons of the items
Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question, but I've got BiblioCraft installed on my server, and everyone playing on it is unable to equip armor except by using an armor stand. Is that BiblioCraft's intent—only allowing people to equip armor when using an armor stand—or is the fault with one of the other mods I have installed that isn't terribly compatible?

That is not intended at all. Are you seeing anything important on the console that could relate to the problem? And could you list the mods you are using?

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.

Oh, your using 1.5.2 still. I had assumed this was a problem on 1.6.4. Anyway...
Optifine and Rei's minimap can be removed the list of suspects as those are client mods. It's unlikely (although still possible) it's not Thaumcraft 3, Thaumic Tinkerer, Twilight Forest or Dimensional Doors as I've had all those mods working fine with Bibliocraft and saw nothing reported on the threads of those mods.
Hmmmm...
So this is happening to all the players on your server and not just you? And there's nothing on the server's console that might be related to this issue at all?
All I can think of is to remove all mods except Bibliocraft and see if the problem is still there. If not then I'd add 1 mod at a time untill the problem reappears. Try this out on a singleplayer world, unless this problem only happens on your server. If that's the case then ignore all of that.

This probably a bit of a silly question but, I build with melon blocks, I do, its fun, ridiculous, gives a purpose to auto melon farms, and they actually blend well too. So I was wondering, would you be willing to add a melon texture to your stuff?
Very much so. I'd been looking around for a way to hang maps (map walls are a big point of my mod). The only one I could get to work was Hangable Maps, which says you need to rip all the maps off every time you upgrade, which makes me worry a little about its innards. I was thinking about doing my own map frames, but inclined to not bother since 1.7 vanilla will apparently have wall map hanging. That would leave my old worlds stranded with Hangable Maps, because I'm not upgrading any to 1.7 (I am not going to wreck them with chunk boundaries). Then you come along with map frames *and* desk/table maps *and* waypoint compasses (I hadn't even *thought* of that) *and* they're all going to work on my old worlds *and* I don't even have to write it . It's like Christmas coming early!
That's quite odd that other mod would ask you to tear down and replace maps like that. They must have done something kind of weird. My map frames (and tables and desks) shouldn't have any issues like that. They basically render almost exactly the same way vanilla frames render them. I even use the vanilla map packets to sync data. Heck, I even create a pretend item frame to play nice with the map packet updates. I do however, have a config option to change the update packet rate. By default, maps will update at the same rate as vanilla maps, but you can adjust to update really fast (useful for singe player worlds) or slower (I imagine being useful for giant servers with lots of maps).
Maps look awesome! I can't wait to try them. Also, would it be possible for chairs to be affected by gravity while a player sits on it? Cause I can think of some funny traps using that redstone output your giving it.
Haha, that could be pretty great, but alas, being a tile entity I can't give it that ability. I suppose you could drop an anvil on someone in sits in a certain chair though.
Everything in those spoilers pics on your website... I want so bad and everything looks so cool. CD racks? You read my mind! Plates that conveniently have Harvestcraft food on it? I have a legit reason now to make a full blown kitchen. You really have quite the refined aesthetic touch, sir. Not to mention this mod is some high quality work and you seem to enjoy working on it as much as we enjoy playing with it. Btw, I applaud a clean and tidy website. I can find everything so easily and you still update us eager folk here on the forums. Hats off to you (if I had one to wear, but then again, it might mess up my feathers).
Now, I don't wanna push my luck but I must ask... I remember talk of possible sword pedestals and 'iron' base-colored lamps. Still ideas or plans waiting in the wing? Also, since you have plates coming... possible cabinets for those Harvestcraft foods? On the server I play own, the owner made a food cellar using Bibliocraft shelves, which was neat, but that got me thinking about cabinets. Regardless if implemented or not, I'm still quite happy.
Though most modders make mods for their own enjoyment before others (and I can respect that), I'm very happy you share this enjoyment with the rest of us. Again, you. are. just. that. awesome.
Thanks for all your kind words.
Sword pedestals, other lighting styles and cabinets (among other things) are all still on the back burner for now. I still do want to mess around with that stuff in a future update though. I have an idea on how I want to do cabinets, but it will be after I finish moving all my models to OBJ's. I might not do any more content updates until 1.7. I have a feeling it might be getting kind of close and I don't want to be in the middle of a dev cycle when that hits because I am anxious to update to it and find out what kinds of goodies I get to play with in the code.
Incredible, the next update look awesome, will it come soon,or there is still a lot to do?
I'm gonna go with soon.
I'm finished with adding content and down to just final testing, bug fixes and tweaks as issues come up during testing. I am hoping to have a release ready by the middle of this week if all goes well.

Are you by changing using IDResolver?, I've seen issues like this come up when using that utility mod, though I have little to no experience with it myself so if that is that case, hopefully someone else with experience can chime in with some tips.
Otherwise, the other thing you can do is open the BiblioCraft.cfg file located in your .minecraft/config folder and change the ID's to something that doesn't conflict.
You can have over 80.000 if you have all 5 bibliowoods on...
Indeed! Though this first release won't have the map frames/seats yet available in the Bibliowoods packages, I do intend to add them before too long. Seats and Map Frames are made with the OBJ models and I mapped the texture to vanilla woods so texture packs can be used. That should make it quite easy to update all the Bibliowoods packages with support since I won't have to create any textures.
The numbers get a little crazy when you think about it with the Bibliowoods packages. Lets look at them just for fun.
We got 24 forestry woods, 13 BoP woods, 9 EBXL woods, 4 HL woods, and another 13 Natura woods. Plus the 4 vanilla woods thats 67 woods. I have also added 2 more seat back styles, so now there is 5 back styles, plus you can count without a back as a style, so 6 variations there. Each of the back styles can come in the varied woods and can be mixed and matched. so then we end up with 67*6= 402 back styles that mix and match with the 67 seat styles to make 26,934 seat types. And those are all white. Take into account 16 colors and we get 430,944 unique looks. That is not even considering that they can be connected into benches to achieve yet another look. How's that for variety.

This probably isn't something I would do, but you're welcome to create a resource pack that does this.
Kinda curious about the plates. Will we be able to put food on them and then pick them up? Would be nice for different dinning establishments to serve customers. Either way I'm quite hyped for this release!
no, you wont be able to pick up a full plate. That is a cool idea though. You can place food directly into the plates though so you could effectively just have empty plates and someone could bring the food out and "serve" it by placing it on the plate.
The plates can be rotated with the screw gun though, so there is that. The screw gun has gotten quite useful. You can rotate any BiblioCraft block with it or even change lamp/lantern styles (floor/wall/ceiling) or case styles (wall/floor). It also rotates a bunch of vanilla blocks including pistons, repeaters and dispensers among a bunch of other stuff.
I have seen another mod (I can't remember what mod it was) that added a tool that allowed a person to pick up tile entity blocks and move them around. Something like that I would think could possibly work with the plate to move a full plate. Food can also be delivered using hoppers
Haha, that could be pretty great, but alas, being a tile entity I can't give it that ability. I suppose you could drop an anvil on someone in sits in a certain chair though.
Yeah, I kinda figured it wouldn't be possible. Anvils though, heheh, thanks for that idea. That's gonna be fun to watch.
Or if Thaumcraft is installed golems could be used to serve food. I can't wait to have a tiny golem butler serving food. Now I'm off to add a dining hall to my home.

lol!, A golem butler is a great idea! I just tried it in creative mode and they seem to have no problems placing food on the plates.
Plates, maps, chairs, disk racks, and golem butlers... This next version it gonna be great! I can't wait! Well, I mean I can it's just I'm getting very excited for the new stuff comming along soon. Let's hope things go well then!

Oooh cant wait for the update :3
On a side note, could you make the bookshelves be able to accept the Famguide from the Familiars Mod? Cuz currently it wont accept it :/
When I try to visit your website my Anti-virus blocks it saying it detects a virus on your site. Is anyone else having that problem? If so is there a safer way to get your mod?

If Minecraft were real, you'd be a zombie right now.
Things are going quite well and I am on track for a release sometime this next week as long as nothing crazy comes up.
